Dhamaka and nine other DAC groups will be performing at the Emily Sachs Dance Benefit, which is held every year in memory of Emily Sachs, a dancer at Penn who unfortunately passed away due to exercise induced asthma. All proceeds will be donated to fund asthma research as well as dance programs in the Philadelphia area. We hope that all of you can come together to remember Emily and celebrate the wonderful dance community at Penn.

Here we present Rohan Malhotra, a Massachusetts resident that refers to himself as Bro-han.  As the youngest of three, Rohan has received the best traits, epitomizing a warm-hearted and calm fellow. Despite this gentle side, Rohan is a fiend on campus, working on a dual degree in Wharton and Engineering (not to mention his ability to beast hip-hop and filmy).  Polo Ralph Lauren seems to trend in the family, and Rohan deviously plans to use his charm and style to take over for his brother as Dhamaka President in the future.

It alternates between concentrated, confused, intense, ecstatic, and sexy, especially when he’s pelvic thrusting. That’s when the true beast that is Vaibhav Goel comes out to play. And that is a beautiful sight.

This speedy devil, an ex-track superstar, decided to show up some of the big faces of Dhamaka during his first freshmen dance performance and now look where he is. Hailing from the steel capital of Pittsburgh, with his rock-hard dancing and his unwavering desire to improve, you can always trust Ainesh to be dancing like there’s no tomorrow, especially when it’s Bhangra time. But the truth is, you’ll probably see him checking himself out in the mirror and seeing how his triceps are doing more than anything else. Watch out for this guy, he’s “Black and Yellow” all day.

Hailing from Illinois, this dancer (turned chemical engineer) brings in a lot of energy and enthusiasm to DMAK. Sporting his ‘man-chest’ in a skin-tight T-shirt (most of the time), this dude really throws out some whacky interesting choreo ideas. Very amicable and helpful, Rahul is truly a reliable team member and a great friend. You can always find him lifting those heavy dumbbells and doing bench-presses at the gym. Overall he is such a delight to be around.

This Princeton, NJ man postponed his quest to become a master of martial arts to take on the grace and precision of dance. This fella lives and breathes Dmak choreo, instantly memorizing moves to dances that were performed years before he walked down Walnut St. Now-a-days, he does not hesitate to break it down Raas-style on this busy street, even if it means swinging his arm into the face of an innocent pedestrian. Other than this one moment of embarrassment, Nishi makes it seem that he has no weaknesses. Dhamaka continues to be on the lookout to make sure he is human.
