Dhamaka will be putting on its annual show on February 25-26, 2011, with this year's title: Penn Dhamaka Presents: Game Night. There will be a show Friday, February 25, at 7:00 PM and two shows Saturday, February 26, at 1:00 PM and 7:00 PM.
All shows will be held in Iron Gate Theater at 3700 Chestnut St. Our annual show is a tradition we have had since our founding and is the single most important event for us. Countless hours go into producing this fully student-run production where the members put on 7-8 full dances varying from Raas, to Bhangra, to Hip-Hop, and many styles in between.
Please come celebrate with us at our official after party Saturday night from 10PM - 2PM at Sangkee Noodle House at 36th and Chestnut. Entry is $5 with a ticket and $10 without.
Dhamaka will be putting on its annual show on February 18-20, 2010, with this year's title; Penn Dhamaka Presents: Dhamockumentary. There will be a show each evening at 7:30 PM, on the 18th, 19th, and 20th of February, in Iron Gate Theater at 3700 Chestnut St. Our annual show is a tradition we have had since our founding and is the single most important event for us. The members, and the members alone, put on 7-8 full dances varying from Raas, to Bhangra, to Hip-Hop, and many styles in between.
The past two years, Dhamaka has been pleased to compete at PhillyFest. With the first PhillyFest being held on campus and with our success at the most recent one, we feel particularly close it.
Unfortunately, this year our annual show will be held in the Spring semester, shortly after PhillyFest. Our annual show is a tradition we have had since our founding and is the single most important event for us. The members, and the members alone, put on 7-9 full dances varying from Raas, to Bhangra, to Hip-Hop. Usually, this show is in the fall but due to facility issues, our show was rescheduled to the Spring.
Due to the tremendous amount of effort needed to make such a show a success, we have decided to not compete at PhillyFest this year in order to begin preparation for our show. Though we are extremely disappointed we will not be able to defend our title, we hope to come back to PhillyFest 2009 and put on a great show for you then.
Also, we apologize for any confusion caused by our name appearing on the PhillyFest website. We had anticipated an opportunity to confirm attendance; however we had no opportunity to do so before the names were announced publicly.
Thank you for your continued support and love! We hope to see you at our show!
